Anti–Titin Antibodies
Test details
Anti-titin autoantibodies (titin is a filamentous protein of striated muscle) can be detected in individuals with myasthenia gravis, often together with acetylcholine receptor (AChR) antibodies. In many neurologic patients, detection of anti-titin antibodies is an indicator of an underlying thymoma. Anti-titin antibody titre is thought to correlate with the severity of myasthenia gravis.
