Food Sensitivity Profile "Vegetarian" - 108 foods

Test details

This test is useful when a food sensitivity is suspected and to identify the potential trigger foods that cause symptoms.

Food sensitivity may result from the increased permeability of the small intestine (leaky gut syndrome), which allows a greater leakage of food components through the intestinal wall into the bloodstream.
In the humoral immune response, IgG-class antibodies are produced against non-pathogenic food antigens, forming immune complexes.
If not eliminated by the immune system, these immune complexes can bind to the walls of small blood vessels and cause or exacerbate local inflammation, with the migration of inflammatory cells into surrounding tissues and the activation of the complement system.
Since immune complexes do not specifically bind to vascular walls, several organs may be affected and, consequently, symptoms can vary. The most common manifestations include gastrointestinal disorders, rheumatic pain, dermatitis and migraine.

The test result alone is not sufficient for a diagnosis and must always be evaluated against the patient’s clinical picture.
The report presents a clear overview of the results for the tested foods organized into 11 food categories and is provided together with a personalised Nutrition Guide.
